Inspired by the Brazilian volleyball shoes of the 1970s, this is the very first model the brand launched in 2005, now reissued with the same clean, unassuming logic. Its silhouette is low, lean, and deliberate: a round toe, a pared-back profile, and a stark white-and-natural palette that refuses to shout. There is no chunky sole, no extraneous logo stampeding across the side—just a discreet “V” panel, stitched and sueded, that announces itself only when you choose to look. The hand of this sneaker is where its story deepens. The upper is cut from Organic Traced leather (O.T.), sourced from southern Brazil and Uruguay, tanned locally in workshops selected for their environmental standards. It feels supple yet structured—neither stiff nor flimsy—with a matte finish that softens with wear. Suede panels add a tactile counterpoint: a nap you can brush with your thumb, a slight friction against denim or cotton. Inside, the lining is 100% recycled polyester, cool and smooth against bare skin. The laces, made of organic cotton, tie with a satisfying grip. Fit is true, with a low-volume toe box that accommodates a natural splay without looking bulbous. The construction is hand-assembled in Brazil, and you feel it in the seams: clean, deliberate, no shortcuts. The insole blends Amazonian rubber (11%) with bio-sourced E.V.A. (45%, including 36% sugar cane) and recycled E.V.A. (13%)—a quiet engineering that yields a cushioned step without the marshmallow bounce of performance sneakers. The outsole, a composite of Amazonian rubber (50%), mineral silica (26%), and synthetic rubber (5%), grips pavement and parquet with equal assurance. Movement is effortless. These are not shoes you break in; they conform from the first wear, the leather molding to your instep, the sole flexing at the ball of the foot.
